standing

Enzo usually gets up at 6:30AM, and we usually hear him talking or crying from the other room. This morning at 6:45 we went in to check on him even though he hadn't made a sound yet. There he was, wide awake, just laying there quietly playing with one of the bumper ties waiting for us. He gave us a big smile and a little giggle when he saw us. Absurdly cute.

Milestones: Enzo stood for about two seconds tonight without holding on to anything.

Nanny Note: We read books and played outside. After nap we had lunch, watched Sesame Street and then took a long walk. We played outside again, read more books and listened to music. After nap we took a walk to the park to play.

As has been the case the last week or so, Enzo has not gone to bed at his usual time. Again tonight he was up until about 9:45PM. He seemed like he was ready to crash at 8:PM but then got a big second wind after a big bottle of milk. He was standing in his crib laughing, so we knew it was futile. So he came back downstairs for some books and walking around. He ate so much dinner tonight. He sat in the living room in the high chair with the music on, which I think helped him settle down and focus on his meal.

February 27, 2007

day with mom

Enzo slept through the night, thankfully.

Zoe was on call last night, so home early today. She let Alex go home around noon, and spent the day with Enzer. After morning nap, they went to Amy's Playground, sort of a Gymboree type place, and the scene of Enzer's 1st bday party in April. They had fun, and came home for a great afternoon nap.

Enzo was in a great mood when I got home tonight. He was crawling and standing and trying to walk and laughing. Funny at dinner tonight too, raising a big piece of cheese over his head again and again.

February 26, 2007

late nap

Enzo slept like a champ again last night - almost 11 hours. He had a decent breakfast and was in a fine mood right up until I left for work. He was on his way up to take a nap as I was out the front door.

Nanny Note: It was a lazy morning. Enzo just laid around cuddling with a blanket. He didn't have a fever but he did seem like something was hurting. After lunch we watched Sesame Street then took a walk. Enzo fell asleep on our walk which is not like him at all. Enzo was feeling much better late in the day.

Alex let Enzo take a nap at 5:PM, which was not good. He was in a great mood when I got home tonight. Unfortunately, that great mood lasted until nearly 10:PM. Zoe on call tonight, so I single handedly read through Enzo's collection of 100 books, except those in Japanese. He just kept pulling them off the shelf one after another. He crawls over, pulls a book out, plops down on his butt, and then looks up at me like "what are you waiting for?" I started to loose my voice. Enzo got to talk to Zoe on the phone a few times tonight. He got a big smile on his face when he heard her voice.

He finally just slumped in the Bjorn while I was standing in the kitchen at about 10:PM, twp hours later than usual. I carried him up and put him in the crib, and he fell asleep in about 2 seconds, but without driking any milk. Very unusual. Expecting him up in the middle of night.

February 25, 2007

back on track?

Enzo was up at midnight, loud motorcycle went by the house. Took some time to get him back down, but then slept until morning. He didn't eat much of a breakfast, and was pretty fussy all morning. We are leaning toward some lower teeth coming in as a diagnosis of what is going on with him.

He wouldn't sleep in his crib for morning nap, so I took him for a very long walk. He feel asleep within minutes of leaving the house, and stayed asleep for about 45 minutes despite helicopters and barking dogs and many cars and some very loud birds.

His mood seemed to improve after his nap and finally getting a decent meal. Salmon burgers for lunch at the table out back. Loved it.

He did take a great nap this afternoon, and we went to park to 'walk' for a bit, but we had a difficult evening with him. I think he was just so tired. Pretty much no dinner and to bed an hour early. Hopefully he'll sleep through to morning. Zoe is call tomorrow night, so we need to sleep tonight.

February 24, 2007

ugh

Enzo again didn't get to bed until 10:PM again tonight. Pretty tough going all day. Basically didn't sleep or eat all day. His fever is gone, but his bad mood was not.

We did have one good long walk to the park, which Enzo really enjoyed. We also had a nice lunch at a cool little cafe and bumped into Tom. For a minute I was under the delusion that I might play golf tomorrow, but I think I'll sleep instead. Tomorrow not looking like an easy day.

February 23, 2007

101

Tough night with Enzo last night as I said yesterday. He did sleep through the night once he finally went to bed. He was pretty humorless and fussy this morning, and didn't eat much breakfast. Zoe was out the door early again this morning, so the two of us just hung out — mostly carrying him around in the bjorn trying to clean up.

Nanny Note: We played with toys before nap. After nap we went to Gymboree then Grandma Jean's to have lunch and play outside. Enzo likes to crawl around their house looking for their two cats.

Enzo is officially sick with a fever of about 101 today after work. He cooled down after some tylenol, but he was in a pretty bad way most of the night. Barely ate dinner, and then didn't get to sleep until about 9:45. Zoe on call again tonight, so praying that he sleeps thru the night.

February 22, 2007

rainy day

Enzo got to sleep in this morning because I left the fan on in his room, which seemed to drown out the sound of Mr going nuts at 5:AM. Unfortunately, it didn't help me any. Zoe on call last night, so just me and Enzer this morning. He was really calm and relaxed when I pulled him out of the crib this morning, and was great during breakfast this morning. Taking it easy on his tired old Dad.

Nanny Note: We read tons of books, watched Sesame Street, played with toys. Enzo has been a little fussy all day, maybe because we haven't gone outside at all.

It's a little after 11:PM and Enzo just went to sleep, so I don't have much to say other than I wish I was asleep too. Maybe sick, not sure.

February 21, 2007

ten months old

We're starting to fall into a little bit of a pattern of waking up at 5:AM for some milk and then falling back asleep for an hour or so before he really wakes up. I feel like Mr is the cause of his early wake ups. He is so lonely after being up all night by himself that he yowls over and over for hours starting almost exactly at 5:AM every morning. I wish Oscar was still around.

Enzo was fun this morning, and gave Zoe so many kisses as she left for work. So cute how he leans slightly forward to give and receive a little kiss, and he giggles each time.

Milestones: Now that Enzo has turned ten months old, we are thinking a lot about the big one year old milestone — walking. Enzo has been pulling himself up to a standing position for months, but he still has super noodle legs. He is just starting to take real purposeful steps if you 'walk' him around holding his hands. But he'd much rather be crawling.

Nanny Note: We read books until he got fussy. I tried to put him down for nap but he wasn't ready. Enzo crawled around trying to get into trouble (dog food, cat water, etc...) :) After nap we played with toys and went for a walk. Enzo liked his lunch today. He has been in a very good mood all day. After nap we walked over to visit Grandma Jean, then we fed the ducks.

Zoe was home for dinner and then back to work at 9:PM for overnight call. Enzo enjoyed his chinese take-out. We were rough housing with Harriet which got him laughing. Before Zoe left for work, she managed to read him twenty or so books. I put him to sleep tonight which fortunately went very well.

February 20, 2007

yah yah yah

Enzo woke up a little early, but he was very sweet and fell asleep on me after he had some milk. Zoe made breakfast, and then was off to work. He was upset when I handed him off to Alex, but was OK after a short walk.

Nanny Note: We took a short walk before nap. After nap we went for another walk, ate lunch and watched Sesame Street, then we went out back to play on the swing and play with bubbles. We played with blocks and read Five Little Monkeys and Wheels on the Bus. Enzo woke up in a grumpy mood so we walked up to the park to play. We practiced walking with wagon and the walking wings.

Enzer was so fun at dinner tonight. He was talking and talking, "yah yah yah yah", and kept going and going when Zoe started mimicing him. He didn't get much sleep today, so he got tired pretty quickly. He got an early bath, and we strung him out until almost 8:PM. Zoe said he fell asleep right away when he got bottle.

February 19, 2007

moma

Zoe had the day off, so we had a laid back morning. We played outside with bubbles after breakfast, but not for long. It rained all night, and was pretty cold and wet this morning.

Nanny Note: We played with toys and read "One Fish, Two Fish". After nap, we watched sesame street and played with his new toys. We went for a walk, practiced going up and down the stairs, and had a small lunch. We sang songs, read "Wheels on the Bus", "Barnyard Dance" and "Hippos go Beserk". After nap, we took another walk and had a snack. Enzo had a very good day. He was in a good mood and had a lot of fun exploring his new toys.

Enzo had fun with his new highbrow toys from the MoMA store today. Zoe and both home a little early tonight, and he laughed out loud when he saw both of us. He had pizza and peas for dinner. Enzo was laughing hard again at the dogs begging (and receiving) bits of his dinner. After dinner, we played in the living room and worked on standing and walking. Enzo has noodles for legs. Walking is a long way off. He is really on a roll with his good days, and he seems to be getting easier and happier every day.

February 18, 2007

play date

Enzo woke up at 5:15AM, but then after a bottle, fell asleep on my chest for about another 90 minutes. It was very sweet. Zoe made french toast for breakfast, and then went for a walk around the block.

After morning nap, we headed over to the Metcalfs to play with baby Luke. Enzo and Luke crawled around and chewed on toys. Enzo was a lot more interested in all the plastic battery operated toys he's never seen before than he was in Luke. Luke is getting tall (still no hair), and he can pull himself up on furniture too now. They ate lunch together too.

On the way home, we worried that Enzo is getting fat because he seems a lot chunkier than Luke, especially in the thigh area.

When we got home, we sat outside and blew some bubbles. I accidentally dumped some bubble soap on Enzo's head and arm. Enzo woke up from his nap kind of sweaty. We went for another walk. Enzo had an OK dinner, and went to sleep right at 8:PM.

February 17, 2007

fun chow fun

Zoe had to round this morning, so after breakfast, Enzer and I hung out a bit, went for a walk, and read some books before nap.

After nap we headed out to drop off Zoe's car and get some lunch. Enzer ate a monster pile of chow fun to celebrate the chinese new year. Probably the biggest meal he's ever eaten. We were both impressed.

We came home and played outside, such a beautiful day today. Enzo had a failed nap attempt around 2:30, so we powered on through the rest of the afternoon.

Enzo was actually really great and fun and cute all day.

February 16, 2007

mozza

Zoe took the day off, so spend most of the morning with Enzer alone. I took the dogs to day care at about 8:30AM. After Enzo's nap, they had some lunch and went to Gymboree. Enzo is finally started to be better about being in the backseat by himself. Gymboree was a success. Alex came about 1:30PM and Zoe went out to run some errands and pick up the dogs.

Nanny Note: After lunch we played with red, yellow, blue and green balloons (great for tactile awareness and color recognition). We watched Sesame Street. After nap we took a walk. Enzo had a good dinner, he ate a lot then played for a while after. We read some books after his bath.

For only the third night in the last ten months, Zoe and I went out without Enzo. We went to Mario Batali's new pizza place. So good. Alex stayed on to give him some dinner and bath and bed. We were nervous, but he did fine of course. We had a great time with Li and Neil, who have a baby due next month. Last dinner out with them for a while.

February 15, 2007

don't go

Enzo was up a little early this morning, about 5:30AM. Typical morning — some reading, some breakfast, and a quick walk with the dogs. Zoe was out of the house early, but managed to make some pancakes for Enzo. I carried him around in the bjorn, and he carried around a pancake, taking big bites and dropping bits on the floor for Betty.

When I handed Enzo off to the nanny this morning he cried and held out his arms. I picked him up for a second, but he cried again when I set him down. He was soon on his way up for an early morning nap.

Nanny Note: After nap we went for a walk, ate lunch, watched Sesame Street, played with bubbles and practiced going up and down the stairs correctly. After nap, we went to Gymboree.

I had about 30 minutes with Enzo before Zoe came home. We spent some time reading and watching cars go by from the front steps. We were outside when Zoe pulled in the driveway, and Enzo reached for her when he saw her get out of the car.

We fed Enzo some pasta tonight, and he had fun with it — and ate some too. After dinner I started feeding the dogs some pasta, one strand at a time, making them stand on their hind legs to get a bite. Harriet was jumping up too. Enzo thought the whole scene was the funniest thing he'd ever seen, and was laughing about as hard as he ever has. He sat in Zoe's lap laughing over and over for about ten minutes. A lot of fun.

February 14, 2007

another good day

We ere all woken up again by Mr. at around 6:AM. Enzo was OK once he got his morning milk. Zoe made him a ham and egg quesadilla which he greedily ate. After a walk with the pups, Enzo and I just rough-housed until the nanny came at 8:30AM. I could have done that all day.

Nanny Note: We went for a walk first thing in the morning. We read a few books sang his favorite songs. After nap we had lunch, watched Sesame Street, listened to music, went for another walk, played in the bouncy swing outside.

Zoe and I both got home early today, but Enzo wasn't back from Gymboree yet. He was in a mellow mood when he finally came home, but perked up after some big chunks of pear. We went for a short family walk before dinner. Enzo played with his new wind-up bath toys tonight. After his bath we read books, and then went to bed right at 8:PM.

February 13, 2007

oxtail

Typical morning with Enzer. Great night sleep for him. Our sleep was cut short by Mr. yowling at 5:15AM. Not sure what the solution is for that yet. After breakfast, I took everyone for a walk around the neighborhood. It's time to get a backpack to carry Enzo. He barely fits in the Bjorn, and it's killing my back. He weighs almost 21 lbs now!

Nanny Note: We listened to music, read books, played with toys. After nap, we went to visit Grandma Jean. We came home had lunch, listened to music, watched Sesame Street and looked at more books. After nap we went for another walk. We sang some number songs and Open Shut Them. He was in a very good mood today and his runny nose is not that bad in the middle of the day.

After work we ran in to town to exchange Zoe's new phone which died yesterday. As we waited for the guy to look at the phone, we attempted to eat dinner at Il Fornaio. Enzo was pretty nuts, and just squirming all over the place, talking, standing, eating. He ate one giant oxtail ravioli in between trips outside and around the restaurant. His new white shirt (not a good decision on our part) was covered with sauce pretty quickly.

When we went back to pick up the phone, the girl at the Sprint shop gave him a helium balloon, which he was very happy about. On the way home in the car, he was laughing so loud every time Zoe offered him a bite of her ice cream cone. Weird the things that crack him up.

February 12, 2007

a very good day

Mr. woke us up yowling at 5:30AM, and prob woke Enzo up too. He had a nice breakfast, and then I took him and the puppies for a walk around the block. Betty's leg is much better, but still not full speed.

Zoe had to leave early for work, so Enzo and I just rolled around and laughed in the living room until the nanny came at 8:30AM. He has been very talkative the last few days — ba ba ba bah bah bah BAH BAH BAH!

Nanny Note: After nap we took a walk, had lunch, watched Sesame Street, listened to music, looked at books, worked on walking on our walking using the wagon. We took another walk before nap. Enzo was in a very good mood all day. We went for another walk then played with toys.

Enzo's good mood continued after I got home from work. Zoe was in the OR late tonight so Enzo had dinner with me. When Zoe finally did come home around 7:PM, Enzo was very happy to see her, and he laughed his funny little giggle and kicked his legs. He had a nice time reading books in the lounge and went to bed at his usual time.

February 11, 2007

mr. no nap

Enzo woke up at about 4:45AM and didn't go back to sleep, so we all woke up. We tried breakfast, but maybe it was too early. Enzo just wanted milk. He was in a great mood actually until about 7:30AM when he needed to go back to sleep.

Shellie headed out about 8:AM, and Zoe laid down for a nap on the couch with little Betty Bug. Enzo was a good boy and slept for another two hours. After nap, we had a second more successful go at breakfast, and then we piled in the car and headed to j-town to do some grocery shopping. Enzo didn't like the traffic jam we got stuck in for about 20 minutes, but he made it.

We stopped in to a little japanese restaurant for lunch, and much to the amazement of the old ladies working there, Enzo started munching down gyoza and tofu. We discovered many new baby crackers and other little crispy treats in the grocery store for Enzo.

He crashed on the way home, but then couldn't manage to go to sleep in his crib. So he only got 20 minutes of sleep all day. After another little snack, we took the dogs on a long walk to the park. Enzo sat in the swing for a while, and watched some big kids play.

Enzo had buckwheat noodles and tofu for dinner, and then read books, watched some Nemo, and took his bath, all a little ahead of schedule because of his no nap. He went to sleep at 7:PM, then woke up again at 8:PM to drink 7 oz of milk, and then went back to sleep at 8:15PM.

February 10, 2007

auntie shell

Enzo and I had a nice morning hanging out together. We both feel back asleep during our morning bottle for another 15 minutes or so. We had an OK breakfast, and then went for a long walk.

During a little pit stop by the library we finished our bananas and yogurt. We rolled around in the front yard, and read many, many books. Zoe was busy and a little later getting home than usual, so I put him down for his morning nap.

Milestones: Enzo has finally figured out how to drink out of his sippy cup.

Aunt Shellie came in from Palm Springs about noon and we went straight to Gymboree. Enzo had a lot of fun crawling through tunnels and showing off his crawling and standing abilities. We signed him up for another session, and he's moving up to Level 3.

We went to lunch in South Pas and Enzo stuffed his face with a ham and egg quesadilla. He was really in a great mood for the whole meal — eating, talking, and smiling at Shellie. He seemed to really warm up to her right away.

Shellie and I went and hit golf balls during Enzo's afternoon nap. When he woke up, we all went for a walk up and around the school. We then jumped in the car and drove up to La Canada for dinner. Enzo was digging his mac and cheese and chicken, and was giving Shellie high fives and laughing pretty much the whole time.

He's sleeping now, hopefully we won't wake him up sleeping in the master bedroom tonight.

February 09, 2007

please don't wake up

Enzo slept 11 ½ hours last night. He woke up in a bit of a bad mood with a nose full of boogers. Definitely still sick. He managed to eat some breakfast, but we had to walk him around in the front yard on and off all morning to get him settled. He was OK when the nanny came. After a bottle of milk, he was fine.

Nanny Note: We read The Very Busy Spider, Five Monkeys and Maisy at the Fair. After nap we went for a walk. We went to visit Grandma Jean. Enzo is really warming up to her. Enzo was in a pretty good mood today. When we got home he played in the bouncey swing and we listened to music and played with toys and sang songs. He really liked Head Shoulders Knees and Toes.

Zoe on call tonight, so flying solo with Enzer. He was in a mellow quiet mood tonight. I fed him right when I came home, which maybe helped. We revisited dinner later, and ate a few more veggies and some pasta. We read books, took the dogs for a short walk, and watched some Finding Nemo before bath.

We 'relaxed' after bath, and then came down stairs for another 30 minutes of reading books and standing. He was really easy to put down tonight, but I can hear him on the monitor rolling around and making noises for the past two hours. Please Enzo, take it easy on your poor dad.

February 08, 2007

eight hours

Enzo was back to his usual ten hours of sleep last night, which was great. It felt weird to wake up and actually be morning, and not the middle of the night. He was very cute standing in his crib smiling, waiting to be picked up.

Nanny Note: We read Brown Bear, Goodnight Moon & From Head to Toe. After nap we went for a walk, had lunch and watched Sesame Street. We played with toys, looked at books, listened to music. After nap we went to Gymboree.

Enzo seemed fine when we got home, and was crawling all over the place. Just before dinner he started to get upset. He seemed very tired and when he cried he sounded a little hoarse. We gave him an early bath but it didn't settle him down for long. He pretty much went straight to bed without a bite of dinner, and about 30 minutes earlier than usual.

February 07, 2007

more teeth coming?

Still not sure exactly what's going on with Enzo. Either a cold or teething again — both cause running nose and waking up at odd hours. He had a short nights sleep last night — basically didn't get to sleep until midnight — but was in good spirits this morning. Ate a big breakfast of yogurt and kiwi.

Milestones: Enzo got his teeth brushed for the first time tonight!

Nanny Note: We read Hey Wake Up, went for a short walk, watched Sesame Street, ate lunch then played with toys. After Enzo took a short nap, we made our way over to Amy's Playground. I don't think he was feeling very good. I asked if we could just go in to check it out but he was crying so we left. He felt much better once we got home.

Enzo was obviously already tired today when we got home from work. Looking a little bleary-eyed, but he was happy, and we spent some time just rolling around on the couch laughing and chewing on toys. He didn't sit through dinner, but we tricked him in to eating some veggies.

His bath really cheered him up and we all had a good laugh 'relaxing' on the bed afterward. Zoe read him a bunch of books before bed, including some japanese board books we picked up this afternoon in j-town. It really seems to get his attention when Zoe speaks japanese to him.

He went down easily tonight right at his usual 8:PM.

February 06, 2007

no rest for the weary

Enzo officially has another cold. Woke up this morning with a runny nose. Still was in a great mood this morning, despite another night of waking up at 2:AM. Zoe was able to put him back down pretty quickly though in the crib. He did the same thing for a few nights the last time he was a little bit sick.

Nanny Note: We went for a walk, played with toys, listened to music. After nap we went for a walk, played with bubbles and played in the swing. Enzo had a lot of energy today and ate enough to feed an army of babies. His nose has been running all day and he has been sneezing a bit. We went for another walk after his nap.

Out of nowhere Enzo just decided he wasn't going to sleep at his usual time and stayed up until almost 10:PM, reading books, laughing, crawling around. Who knows what's going on with him now. We are planning on another early AM awakening.

February 05, 2007

night owl

Enzer was asleep so early last night that he woke up in the middle of night, as we thought he would. We couldn't get him back in the crib, so I slept with him in the master bed. I am tired today, but it was nice to curl up with him for a few hours.

He was fun this morning. Zoe and I both had time hang out him before work.

Nanny Note: We read books, played with toys. After nap we went for a walk, watched 1/2 hour of Sesame Street and had a small lunch, so small in fact, it consisted of one bite of banana. We played in the swing for a while, played inside with toys and listened to music. After nap we went for another walk.

I took Enzer and the girls on a walk after work, and fed Enzo string cheese along the way. We met yet another neighbor with a toddler. Somehow we have to get all the kids on the block together. Crazy that nobody knows each other.

Enzo was a little nuts during dinner, but we managed to stuff some mac and cheese into him. The nanny got him back on his usual nap schedule so we're hoping he sleeps his usual ten hours tonight.

February 04, 2007

super sunday

Enzo up a little early this morning. He was ready for his morning nap so early we scraped our plans to go out to breakfast. His morning nap didn't last too long, and we knew we were in for an interesting day.

After nap we mostly just hung around the house. Played in the front yard, eating lunch and taking photos. After a very short second nap, we skipped the first half of the game and walked up to the park instead. We bumped in to a woman with her baby who just moved in on our block. Maybe Enzo has a new friend.

Enzo was very tired later in the day but didn't quite mange to go down for a third nap. We watched some of the game, and tried to eat some dinner. Poor tired baby mans was ready for bath and bed about an hour earlier than usual. Typically that means he'll be up at the crack of dawn, or before, so we're headed to bed early ourselves.

February 03, 2007

cruising

Enzo graced us with his presence at 4:AM this morning, but then quickly went back to sleep until 7:AM. [I'm glad one of us was able to get back to sleep.] We had a nice french toast breakfast, and Enzo was in a fine mood.

After morning nap, we raced over to Gymboree and sneaked into an extra Saturday class. Enzo was a little bit on edge during the whole parachute segment, but he loved going down the slide and up the stairs and ramps. He enjoyed the kooky songs and being thrown up the air.

After Gymboree, we went to Peets to get some lunch and coffees. Enzo shared his hot dog bagel with Zoe. We walked down the street to Borders and accidentally bought Enzer a couple more board books for the lounge. Straight home for a nap after that.

Milestones: Enzo really starting to get the hang of 'cruising' which means he can walk/shuffle his way down the length of couch or between pieces of furniture that are within reach of one another.

Zoe and I had just settled in for a nap of our own when Enzo woke up after only 40 minutes. We took him to the grocery store, came home and had mac and cheese, walked around some, read a few books, and played with a few toys. Because of his abbreviated nap, he was close to the edge for most of the afternoon, but we had a lot of fun with him. And I think he had a really great day.

February 02, 2007

friday night lights out

Zoe and I both went in late to work today so we could hang with the man. Zoe made some great blueberry pancakes, and Enzo loved them. He went down for his nap around 9:AM, so I took the pups for their first walk in a week. Betty is much better.

Nanny Note: After his nap we walked over to visit with Grandma Jean then we came home for a small lunch before Gymboree. The theme for today was sliding. Enzo had so much fun today and he even made it through parachute time without crying. After nap we took a long walk up to the park and played on the swing then we read Where's Spot and Brown Bear and Where the Wild Things Are.

I fed Enzo a jar of carrots while he read books right after work today. That seemed to calm him down a little. We read more books and sang songs before dinner. After discovering that our two favorite restaurants in Pasadena have gone out of business since we last went out to dinner, we decided to eat in. Enzo loved his three cheese tortellini.

Zoe was throwing crisps to Betty at the table. Every time she caught one, Enzo squealed with delight.

February 01, 2007

dish

Zoe on call last night, so Enzer and I managed breakfast by ourselves this morning. We spent some time looking through our new book of songs from Ama and some more books from Amazon. After the nanny showed up, I raced out to the Valley to get Betty to the vet by 9:30.

Nanny Note: We played with toys, listened to music. After his nap we took a long walk, played with bubbles and top. We watched a few mins of Telletubbies. After nap we had a samll lunch, played with toys, went for a walk and read books. Enzo was in a much better mood after his nap.

We took Enzo out for dinner tonight even though he hadn't slept in about five hours. He actually enjoyed himself, and did pretty well with his mac and cheese. We had a great corner booth seat and he was standing up looking out the window most of the time. Zoe had him laughing hard in the backseat on the way home with the seats on the bus go "squeak squeak squeak".
