After morning milk, we headed out to Peets again for bagels and an egg. Enzo spent a lot of time trying feed the sparrows this morning. He wiped cream cheese all over both of us by the time he was done. We stopped by two stores on the way home trying to find the right diapers. I got stuck behind two people in line who apparently have never been to the grocery store before, and it took forever. Enzo and I were not happy.
We swung by the house and picked up the mutts to go to the dog park around 9:AM. They were beside themselves with joy. Betty was flipping out in the back of the wagon when we pulled into the parking lot. I got a few comments about my multi-tasking abilities - throwing ball for two dogs, holding baby, picking up dog shit, taking photos, sending picture mail, and occasionally dousing the dogs with water to cool them down.
Solid morning nap when we got home. I tried to lay down for a few minutes also, but the minute I fell asleep, Mr starting yowling. I tried again with a pillow over my head, but then Enzo woke up about 15 minutes later. Oh well.
After nap we got some lunch in South Pas by the train tracks. Enzo and I shared a big piece of ham and cheese quiche. He ate most of it, along with a small bowl of fruit. We accidentally got an ice cream cone next door also. And then we drive down the street to the dinosaur toy store to see if Enzo needed anything. There were a lot of cool things there but mostly toys for older kids. We hung out for a while though, and Enzo played with and chewed on a number of different dinosaur species.
On the way home we stopped by the park. We just rolled around in the grass under a tree and played with a couple sticks for about 30 minutes. Such a beautiful afternoon, and Enzo was in the best mood.
After second nap, we went to the UHaul store to buy some boxes because daddy is trying to clean up the house and he needs something to put all of our stuff in. Stopped by the store again because I forgot milk the first time. Enzo munched on watermelon and apple slices the whole time driving around.
Back at the house we didn't do much. Laid in the front yard, snuggled on the couch, read some books, and watched some hockey. We talked to Zoe on the speaker phone which made him smile. I fed Enzo his dinner at 5:30PM, about an hour earlier than usual. It seemed to help. He devoured his lasagna, and fed himself with a fork a number of times while sitting in my lap. He was so excited that he ate another full plate of dinner. I thought it was the cutest thing until he suddenly spun around and jabbed me just below the eye with his big boy fork. Scared the hell out of me. End of that game.
After dinner and bath, Enzo ate a huge bowl of fruit as we rumpused on the couch and read books. Not sure what got in to him today, but he ate a lot of food. Not to mention he guzzled about 30 ounces of milk today too.
