grassy ass
Enzo was in one of those moods this morning where he just cried for seemingly no reason for about 15 minutes. Probably because he got his morning milk and snuggle from dad today. We ventured out with the dogs anyway, and Enzo sorted it out on his own eventually. The soccer field had just been mowed and there was cut grass everywhere. Enzo had it on his hands, in his hair, in his bowl of fruit, in his mouth, and stuck all over his butt. I noticed he was having trouble walking, and realized he had about an inch of grass clippings pancaked to the treads of his crocs. Back home, we sat in the back of the wagon with the hatch open while we ate breakfast and watched the guys working on the street in front of the house. One guy walked by with his dog, and said "tailgate party!"
Nanny Note: We went to Gymboree this morning. Enzo has really come out of his shell. He knows all the movements to the songs and especially the walking song with the rainbow rope. He used to refuse to do it and now he knows just what to do and he loves doing it before anyone else. After nap we went to my parents house to play with the kitten and eat lunch. When we got home we watched Good Night Gorilla.
We let Alex go a little early today, and headed over to the farmers market. We didn't stay too long, but Enzo had fun walking around eyeballing people and trying to play with some other kids wagon. Back home, I took Enzo and girls for a walk. We stopped by to see Wes who was just back from a photo shoot in Portland. She and Enzo played in the empty pool and then in her room. Enzo liked her wooden whale.
We played in the front yard with mommy for a bit, and then got an early bath. Enzo got about 45 minutes of bedtime stories from Zoe tonight.
