We headed out to Peets for coffee and breakfast. Enzo sat in his stroller and ate a big meal, then walked around. Right before we left, some 3 yo girl walked up Enzo, stuck her hand in his face and pushed him to the ground. He was shocked. On the way home, he fell asleep so I drove him around for about 30 minutes while he slept.
Mommy came home from after a loooong night in the hospital, and rushed off to a parent orientation meeting for Enzo. He starts his infant toddler program at the Pasadena Waldorf school on Wednesday. Apparently, mommy and daddy have been sorely lacking in their parenting skills thus far but its never too late to turn it around, we guess. We are looking forward to bringing him. Mommy was brave and signed up for snack duty for the first day.
After the orientation, mommy went to Wes' house, where daddy and Enzo were waiting, to meet their new 8 week French bulldog puppy named Nacho. She is the cutest little thing. Enzo was very enamored with her as well, but was sort of more interested in playing with the dog crate. At one point, Enzo and Wes walked in to the bedroom, turned on the radio, and danced together to a Cheap Trick song. Enzo went off for a nice afternoon nap afterwards, but woke up seeming like he needed more sleep.
In the afternoon we went to the pet store for supplies and it was like going to the zoo, only smaller - he was fascinated with all the fish and small mammals and birds. He pointed out Nemo when he saw the clownfish, and said "bird" when he saw the parakeets. He called the rats a cat. Dinner was pasta with Nacho and her new family. Enzo seemed right on the edge of meltdown the entire day - teething, maybe, or a general sleep deficiency? He had a nice bath, peed in his potty, lots of books, then off to an early bedtime.
