another brick in the wall
Enzo finally woke just minutes before the start of "class". He was happy to be there and helped Miss Adrienne gather acorns for her morning circle song. He did great for the first 30 minutes of class, but then needed to go outside for a bottle break. Then he was right back in the mix running around holding this little wooden duck. "Duck, duck, duck, duck", he shouted.
He sat pretty well for snack, and put his dirty bowl in the dish bin when he was done. He got a little anxious about the big kids playing hide and seek in the big lawn. He really wanted to be over there, and got upset when I stopped him. I managed to divert his attention for a bit, and he settled down somewhat. We almost didn't make it to closing circle, but when Enzo heard Miss Adrienne signing inside, he walked to the door and looked in. Once he saw everyone in the tent, he decided to rejoin the class.
Zoe came home and we chatted with the guys working on the front wall. Enzo was very interested in what's going on with his front yard. We came back inside and Enzo got to watch another couple minutes of Nemo while we made dinner.
Enzo enjoyed his favorite pancetta pasta tonight and some cucumber with kewpie mayonnaise. We went for a short walk after dinner and then played with trains before bath. Enzo had a nice long bath, and then played in his room with mommy and daddy before bed. He was in a great mood tonight.
