bye bye

Enzo woke up in a great mood. Laughing and rolling around in his crib. He had his morning milk with mommy, and then I took him a walk around the block with the dogs. We came back to a big stack of hot pancakes. Enzo ate a bit, but still has been a while since he's had a big meal.

As Zoe was leaving for work, Enzo cracked us up with a perfectly enunciated "bye bye" in his little sing songy voice.

Nanny Note: We read books, played outside, played with his train set and puzzles. We went for a walk up the hill and then we watched Planet Earth, Ocean Deep. Enzo loved watching all the ocean creatures. Enzo had a great nap. After nap we went to the park by Kidspace. At the park we played with a couple of kids on the swings and we ran around on the grass.

Zoe on call tonight. Enzo and I ate dinner right at 5:30PM and he seemed to do OK. I cobbled together some random things from the fridge (rice, bologna, egg, carrots, potatoes), and he had peaches for desert. He does not like those little mandarin oranges. Nearly spit one clear across the table after popping one in his mouth.

We took the dogs for another walk and then stopped by the Pfleegers to see how Eric was doing flying solo with Wes for a few days. The house has been cleaner, but Wes seemed OK. She slept in daddy's bed last night. Slippery slope, I told him.

Enzo was happy to see Wes and Nacho. Nacho loves to chase the kids which freaks them both out a bit. The kids played in Wes' room with wooden fruit and pots and pans. And Enzo might have stolen a wooden pig on the way out the door as well.

Back home, we took a deep hot bubbly bath, followed up with a big cold bottle of milk. Luckily there is enough milk for Enzo's morning bottle because daddy forgot to buy more today.

Enzo was super snuggly tonight, and I got lots of kisses too. We wallowed on the Fatboy for about 45 minutes before I finally put him in his crib. He protested a bit, but was sound asleep in minutes.
