Enzer woke up at 5:AM this morning. We were close to going in to get him up but then he settled back down, and ended up sleeping in until 8. I can't remember the last time got to sleep until 8. We didn't have much time, but Zoe made him a soft boil egg and toast. Dip and bite.
Milestones: Enzo has really had some breakthrough in self-awareness the last couple days. When we ask him "where's Enzo?", he points to himself and says "me!", and giggles. He also tried saying his name for the first time tonight, "envo".
Nanny Note: We read books, played with Legos and played with Bruce the shark. We met Wes at Amy's Playground at 10:30. Enzo played like a wild man. He had a great time. When we got home we read books. He had a bottle then I put him to bed. After nap we made a ghost stamp picture, had a snack then went to the park to play. I've noticed that Enzo has been expressing anger more. I've tried been trying to talk with him about being mad. It's important that he learn to identify, label and learn to cope with anger.
Zoe and I ran some errands, and then went home to meet a guy about the sprinkler. Enzo was home soon after. We played outside in the front yard until the Pfleegers came by for homemade pizza. Wes and Enzo switched roles tonight. Wes ate a ton of mac and cheese and Enzo picked and pushed his food around. They shared a bath and then Wes went home.
Enzo was very sweet tonight, kissing Zoe on the hand on which she had an owie two days ago. After some books, he started working on this Melissa & Doug peg puzzle that was a gift from Alex. He's played with it some, but tonight he got really into it. He did over and over again, faster and faster. He was so focused, we let him stay up past his bedtime.
Finally, at about 8:30PM, it was time for bed. He gave us both kisses and went to sleep without a peep.
