Zoe was on call last night so Enzo and hung out this morning. We went to Heirloom for breakfast. Enzo loves to hand the check card to the person at the cash register, and then take it back from them. He points to my photo on the card and says "da da" and then points at me. We split a piece of quiche and a fruit bowl. Enzo ate a decent meal and sat in his chair for a while. After breakfast, we stood to watch the trains go by ("bye bye train") and we walked up and down the alley.

Nanny Note: We read books, watched the guys working outside, took a walk over to Grandma Jean's house. Enzo had fun hiding behind the curtains and playing outside. When we got home we watched Dr Seuss and ate a snack. We played with playdough and colored a scary monster mask. We read books before nap and Enzo drank his bottle, and fell asleep within minutes. Enzo woke up in a good modd. We walked around the hill looking at number, then we went to the park to play. It was great until he started spitting water on himself.

Zoe and I ran some errands and then came back to the house in the late afternoon. We took Enzo for a walk wiht the dogs, Wes and Christa. Enzo demanded to go feed the duck, so we all walked to the pond. Wes and Enzo were more interested in eating the crackers themselves, but we managed to give some to the ducks too.

Back home, Ezno and watched a little Nemo while Zoe made a special dinner for him of onigiri with furikake and kamaboko. After dinner, we played with trains and read books and took a bath and read more books. Unfortunately, at about midnight, after Enzo had been asleep for hours, the fire alarm in his room started beeping because the battery was dead. Mommy asked daddy to change those weeks ago but he never did. Not good.

Enzo woke up and wouldn't stop crying so we had to pick him up and give him a bottle. We read him books and watched some Nemo for a couple minutes, and he went back to sleep easily.
