orange

Enzo woke up in a strangely snuggly mood this morning. He snuggied with mommy first after his morning bottle in the Fatboy, then snuggied with daddy downstairs. He was upset but clingy in a very sweet way. He and daddy took the pups to the Rose Bowl. Afterwards they came home to a cheesy omelet and mini waffles but what he was really into this morning was his orange sections. He loved nibbling at the wedges, and we loved seeing his face when he accidentally bit into the bitter skin and pith.

He saw mommy give daddy a kiss before she left, and he pushed their heads together so they had to kiss over and over again.

Nanny Note: We played upstairs in his room, we played with his train set, read books. I've noticed that if Enzo is given choices he usually picks an activity that is more preferable than a DVD. We played most of the morning and I let him watch Gorilla at naptime. We went to The Arboretum today. Enzo really liked all the peacocks, geese and ducks. We had a apple juice and walked all over the place. We even found some feathers. I tried to get him to take another nap but I guess he wasn't tired enough.

Enzo was tired and hungry and upset when I got home. I thought about taking him for a walk, but then decided to take him for a quick drive to get a little nippy nap. He fell asleep instantly. I woke him up after about 20 minutes. He was very upset, but rebounded pretty quickly once Wes and Eric showed up.

Eric and Wesley came over for dinner because it was Eric's 43rd birthday. Enzo has not been eating well at all lately, and we are hoping that it is because he has been teething, and that his appetite will pick up soon. We are not that worried (yet) because obviously that kid has not missed that many meals. After dinner we all played with the trains and toy cars, then Enzo headed upstairs for a bubbly bath. After his long bath, it was the usual milk and books and bed.
