welcome home
After taking the dogs for a walk, Enzo and I went to Peets for breakfast and coffee. We didn't have much time, but we managed to eat a good meal. Enzo's eggs were "hot". Now whenever he has something on his plate that he thinks might be hot, he insists that I blow on it to cool it down. Which basically means I have to blow on every bite he takes. He also has to blow on each bite just to be sure. We didn't have time to run around this morning.
Nanny Note: We read book, played with trains and played outside. Enzo colored and played with playdough too. We watched his Old Lady DVD and had a snack. We played with trains for a while then we read books until nap time. He fell asleep withing minutes and had a good long nap. After nap we had another snack, played and then went to Gymboree for a while.
Zoe and I got back from the airport around 5:PM, and Enzo wasn't home yet. He was happy to finally see mommy when he and Alex came wheeling up in the Bugaboo. Zoe whipped up a quick pasta dinner, and we settled in for a good long 10 or 15 minute meal before Enzo was ready go back and play with his trains.
We went on a whole family walk, and stopped by the Pfleegers to drop of some gifts and see their new gate. Wes was fresh out of the bath. "Eno!" We headed back home, and took a nice bubbly bath, and Enzo got his hair washed for the first time in a couple days.
He and mommy got it some sorely needed snuggling time while Enzo listened to stories and drank his nightly bottle.
