z is for zebra

Enzo woke up at the usual time despite his midnight date with N-e-m-o. Usual morning of trains, poops in the potty, breakfast. We tried making some Enzo sized quail eggs for him...he was not interested in eating them, but had fun manhandling them and squishing them. Daddy took Enzo and the dogs for a walk while mommy frantically got ready for work.

After Alex arrived, daddy started his day touring one of many possibilities for preschool for next year. There are many good options in LA, but all very competitive and all very expensive. We are trying to round up the many neighborhood kids Enzo's age and starting our own class at the very cute, very close, very free San Rafael elementary.

Nanny Note: It seemed to clear up so we went to the zoo after all. Enzo loved the zoo. We saw almost all the animals except the gorillas. Enzo really liked the tigers, giraffes and zebras. He was so tired by the end of the day that he passed out in the car. At home we played with trains and had a small snack. We watched Nemo for a little while.

After mommy came home early from work, we all rallied and went to Amy's playground for some fun. Enzo had fun jumping around on the bouncy castles and roaming through the maze. We even met another kid Enzo's age that literally lives 5 houses up the street, a cutie named William. After Amy's playgroud we had a Peruvian food extravaganza at home with the Pfleegers. Enzo was definitely tired from his big day at the zoo and the indoor playground - he was a bit fussier than usual this evening but hung in there with his bath as well as his books. He went to bed without protest at his usual time.
