Enzo had his morning milk in our bed this morning, so we got an extra five minutes of sleep. We came down to play with his new train track setup that I cobbled together last night. After a bite to eat, we headed out to the Pfleeger bakery to meet before heading to the dog park.
It was boston terrier day today, and the dogs were nuts. There was a crazy little boston that looked just like Betty. Even Enzo thought so. Wes and Enzo spent some time throwing the ball for Betty, and searching for "dog poo poo." Nacho ran until she vomited, and then we left. On our way home, we stopped at the pet store to buy plants and some fish for Enzo's new ten gallon tank.
We got the fish and plants in the tank, and they all seemed to be OK, so we showed it to Enzo for the first time. He was pretty stoked about the tank and the fish, but then he saw a broom, and wanted to play with that. Throughout the day, he asked to "go see fishies". We tried to get him to name them, but he hasn't yet.
After a big pasta lunch, we put him down for a nap.
After nap, we drove to the valley to by a new dog bed for the living room. We stopped at the children's bookstore next door, and got a couple new books for the drive home. After a stop at the grocery store, we came home to throw the ball for Betty again, and play in the front yard. Enzo smacked the golf ball half way across the yard, and mommy was impressed. Zoe's been trying to teach him how to play hide-and-go-seek, but he doesn't quite get it yet. He thinks it's a counting game. She also taught him how to do a somersault.
After dinner, we walked down the block to see Jack. They did some running around in the neighbors yard, and Enzo took a scary fall. He tripped over the curb on to a driveway, but managed to get his hand out just in time. So his face bounced off the back of his hand instead of the asphalt. When Enzo laid down in the grass, Jack leaned over him. Enzo looked up at him, and said, "what's up?", which cracked us up.
After dinner, we vegged for a few minuted before bath, books, brush and bed.
