delicious milk
Wes and Eric came over for sliders tonight. Enzo got a bit torqued out about not being able to drink milk from his bottle, but eventually he recovered and came back outside to join us for dinner. He and Wes chased each other around the yard holding their corn on the cob, and each wearing one blue croc. After dinner, we took a nice long family walk around the neighborhood. He would run down the sidewalk, and pause only to look at us behind him and yell, "catch you up!" (I guess he meant that he wanted us to catch up").
Mommy was off today so she ran some errands this morning and got home right after Enzo got up from his nap and they had lunch. He was eating his cheese and turkey and crackers when he spied the mac and cheese box and asked her to make him some noodles. She did, and he ate a ton of it, muttering, "macanoni and cheese" to himself the whole time. He played with his birthday toys, narrating to mommy the entire time. They had a very nice afternoon together.
He is very funny when he runs because he has such a funny gait. I hope he does not grow out of it. We played a funny game of "I spy" in San Francisco when we would look out the hotel room window into the traffic below - whenever he would spy a cab, he would kiss daddy. Whenever he spied a pickup truck, he would kiss mommy (why a taxi and a pickup truck - we don't know. Ask him) For some reason this has stayed with him, and on our walks whenever he sees a pickup he says "kiss mommy" and mommy gets a kiss. Needless to say, the better deal daddy had in SF turned into the worse deal here because there are no cabs in our neighborhood. So mommy changed it to whenever he spies an unpicked up doggy poop he kisses daddy.
