one two
Enzo got dropped off at the Metcalfs for an hour before his party so that daddy could help mommy get everything together. The two of us singlehandedly decorated the pavilions, moved everything from the cars, and helped get the food set up. The guests all arrived right on time, but unfortunately, Jorge, our taco guy, got lost and showed up an hour late.
It was a great party, except for the hot weather, but there was plenty of shade in the park. Everyone showed up, we ate a lot of delicious tacos and drank a lot of icy water and juice box, and had fun getting balloon animals and getting our faces (and arms and legs) painted. Enzo ran around like a maniac the entire time. He had extra fun playing in the sand with Katie and Gabeluke, while Scott took photos of the party. He loved stomping down the castles Katie made for him. He spent quite a bit of time wandering around the party, asking, "where's katie?" He got to hang out with all of his buddies, and was very happy to blow out his candle on his cake.
When we got home, he took a nap, which was cut short by a diaper emergency. He bought himself a bath after that, then consoled himself with a little Toy Story. We opened presents (he was much more interested in scribbling on his cards than the actual presents themselves). he got a lot of loot. The big hits were the ride on fire truck, his new crocs, and a funny little animal hospital. He got lots of good books.
The Pfleeger Pfamily came over tonight to help us with the massive amounts of taco fixings that were left over from the party. Wes and Enzo ran around and played well together tonight. After they left, we played with some of his new toys, read some books, then went off to bed. He really had a great day. Mommy and daddy are really glad its over.
