four dollars

Enzo woke up at 4:AM crying, and then fell asleep in our bed for a couple hours. When he woke up again, I brought him downstairs. He watched Nemo while Zoe and I got another hour of sleep.

We went to the bakery for breakfast. As we we ordering, Enzo reached into the tip jar and said "want money. four dollars." We went to park to runs arounds, and then after a stop for Jamba Juice, Enzo had his haircut appointment. He did really well. Maybe was the lollipop and the TV on the wall. Another great big boy haircut.

We goofed around in the garage, in this giant cardboard box house, while Zoe fed him some lunch. We put him down for a nap, and slept for almost 2.5 hours. When we finally woke him up, he was super sour. Finally, I took him out for a drive, stopping to pick up a repaired tire and to get some milk. Enzo liked watching the guy jack up the car and put on the new tire. Finally snapped him out of his cranky pants.

Zoe ran out to get some food, and Enzo ate another big meal. He's been eating so much protein the last few days. it's kind of freaking us out. That combined with his waking up at odd hours makes us think he's going through some growth spurt.

After dinner, we went for a long family walk. Enzo wore his backpack the whole way. We went straight up to bath, and then to bed.

The last couple days, Enzo has been saying "yep" and "nope" instead of yes and no. It sounds cute, but we've been trying to correct him. We ask him to say "yes" and then ask him if he understands. "Yep."

Enzo was really cute with Harriet today. He kept asking to hug her all day today.
