daddy day
After breakfast we spent a long time in front with his Jack pool. We spied some hummingbirds so we went to the garden store to but a feeder; on our way there the wildlife capture people called and said they were on their way to lay the traps so we had to hightail it back. Enzo and daddy watched as the guy laid the traps and fixed the holes. Enzo was following the guy around trying to show him the crab on his shirt.
After that we went out to run some more errands and tried to talk Enzo into test driving a toddler bed. No dice. We had some yogurt and went grocery shopping. In the store Enzo kept saying "Happy daddy day" and giving lots of kisses to daddy.
When we got home it was straight to bed for a nearly 2 1/2 hour nap. When he woke up we headed straight back into the pool. He loves to take off his diaper and lay belly down in the water and say, "Enzo's wee wee under water!" We played in the backyard, and threw the ball and climbed around on the play structure. Daddy killed a black widow spider while he was out there grilling.
We ran inside to watch the last few minutes of the US Open, and Enzo asked to watch the footage of Tiger Wood's final putt of the tournament over and over. "Tiger man!"
We had a nice dinner of BBQ chicken and corn. Mommy even bought little tiny drumettes for Enzo, which he liked very much. After dinner, we walked around the neighborhood with a pop and visited everyone who was out walking their dogs. We heard a coyote on the next block and all the dogs going nuts. "Too many nature," Enzo said about all the wildlife today.
After our walk it was straight to bath, then books and bed. A very sweet daddy's day for Enzo. Daddy has a father's day golf date tomorrow.
