potty

Enzo slept through the night, which was a relief. We thought he might climb out of his bed in the the middle of the night. He did get up very early, but then mercifully let us get another 30 minutes of sleep after he crawled in bed with us. We just hung around the house this morning. Cereal and fruit for breakfast. Enzo of course had to help cut the watermelon. Enzo made mommy late again this morning because he didn't want her to leave.

Milestones: Enzo used the potty six times today!

Nanny Note: We played with toys, read some books, colored and practiced tracing. We went for a walk then we watched Good Night Gorilla. I read him some books at nap time. He only got out of bed once. I went back up to sit with him and he fell right to sleep. Every time he sat on the potty he did something. Enzo is having a great day!

The first thing Enzo did when I walked in the door was drag me upstairs to show me his new bed and his shark sheet. "Daddy built it", he said. Then we drove over to the vet to pick up the dogs who were getting some shots and a flea bath. He was kind of crazy in the vet lobby. Shouting about the fish tank, and pretending to swim around like a fish. "swim swim swim swim stop! swim swim swim swim stop!" all the while doing this funny crouched walk, waving his hands and arms slowly, like swimming in slow motion.

We got back home, and made a late pasta dinner. He did well with his beefy bow ties while we watched some Planet Earth. A little after 7, we ran down the street to burn off some energy. Enzo took another nasty fall, but this time got his hand out in time and did not head his head, just a scraped knee, no tears. He's doing this funny thing with his arms, swinging them back and forth when he runs. He starts watching his arms instead of his feet, and the swinging throws him off balance.

We went straight up to bath after our walk, and then to bed. Same drill as last night. I read him books until my lantern lost it's charge, and then sat in the dark room with him until he fell asleep at nearly 9PM. It's a good thing that little chair of his is so incredibly uncomfortable or I'd still be up there asleep next to him.
